There are only a few reasons as
to why your account might be deleted. Most of these have
to do with violating the terms of service. Ignorance of
the Terms of Service is no excuse, The Terms of Service
are considered to be your first and only warning on these
matters. If you are deleted for any of the following reasons
do not ask for a restore, you will not get one.
Most common reasons for
being deleted:
- You had warez on your site, warez information on your
site, serial numbers, cracking information, phreaking
information, or anything else illegal or that infringnes
on proprietary or copyrighted material.
- You have ROMs on your site. These are basically pirated
games for playstaion, nintendo64 etc.
- You had MP3s on your site. We know the legality of
this. We do not wish to be involved with this issue,
the answer is no. No amount of begging will sway us.
There is no legitimate business reason that your site
have MP3s, they are too large and waste too much bandwidth.
- You are spamming. Spammers will not be tolerated here.
Period. If you spam, your account will be removed and
you may face legal action from GetSite and possibly
the people that you spam. DON'T DO IT, It really irritates
us to no end.
- You have hate propoganda or offensive material on
your site. GetSite does not condone censorship, but
there is no real business reason for anyone to condone
bigotry and/or make personal attacks on other people.
Also we take a very dim view of anyone using our server
to hurt other people.
- GetSite does not now, nor will ever host ANY adult
related sites. Period.If you have adult oriented material
on your site, you will be deleted.
- You are harrasing other users on the GetSite Public
Newsgroups.
- You are using someone elses copyrighted material (images,
content, etc.).
GetSite takes a ZERO tolerance
stance on these issues. There will be no discussion on
these issues.
